{"id":2,"date":"2020-01-20T09:43:06","date_gmt":"2020-01-20T09:43:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tvoits.com\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2024-11-11T00:04:52","modified_gmt":"2024-11-10T23:04:52","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tvoits.com\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I am a postdoctoral researcher at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gu.se\/\">University of Gothenburg<\/a> Department of Psychology where I work with <a href=\"https:\/\/scholar.google.com\/citations?user=ppmQdDEAAAAJ&amp;hl=en\">Martin L\u00f6vd\u00e9n<\/a> out of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lovdenlab.org\/\">L\u00f6vd\u00e9n lab<\/a>. I am also part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gu.se\/forskning\/integrative-cognitive-neuroscience-lab-icon-lab\">Integrative Cognitive Neuroscience (ICON) lab<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My research interests lie at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience, language sciences, and linguistics. I am particularly interested in understanding the impact of various life experiences and lifestyle factors on neurocognitive development (across one&#8217;s lifespan) and cognitive aging trajectories. To date, my research has primarily focused on exploring the potential implications of bi-\/multilingualism on neurocognition in later life, as well as their relevance to clinical neurodegeneration. I employ a combination of behavioral and neuroimaging methods (EEG\/MRI\/PET) in my work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I hold a PhD in Psycholinguistics from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/\">University of Reading<\/a>.
